Russia approves concept of preserving traditional heritage
The Russian Ministry of Culture will be responsible for its implementation
Russian Government has approved the Concept for the Preservation and Development of Russia's Intangible Ethno-Cultural Heritage until 2030.
The country will create conditions for the preservation, study and popularisation of traditional culture: customs and rituals, traditions and festivals, folk tales, songs and dances.
As noted in the government, the document provides for "systematic work" to identify, preserve and study ethno-cultural heritage.
This work will also include methodological support for cultural, scientific and educational institutions. In addition, the concept envisages the inclusion of found samples of traditional culture in federal and regional registers. This is reported by official website of the Russian Government.
As the government expects, the concept should contribute to the transmission to new generations of spiritual experience that ensures the unity of the multinational people of Russia, preservation of identity, traditional spiritual and moral values, patriotic and spiritual and moral education.
