Russia has set a new record in space
Progress MS-11 cargo spacecraft launched from Baikonur successfully docked to the Russian segment of the International Space Station. The spacecraft got to the ISS according to the ultrashort double-orbit scheme. Thus, Progress set a record, the correspondent of tvbrics.com reports with reference to the press service of Roscosmos.
The "truck" arrived on board, having made only two orbits around the Earth, and this is a new record in the history of the ISS," it was posted in a Twitter message of the State Corporation.
As specified by RIA Novosti, Progress MS-11 made it to the station for 3 hours 22 minutes, i.e. two minutes before the scheduled time. Earlier it was reported on the website of Roscosmos that the spaceship should reach the station in "record 3 hours 24 minutes".
The spaceship delivered fuel, water and other cargo to the station.
Last July, Progress went to the ISS in the same way, according to the ultrashort scheme, but then the flight time was 3 hours 40 minutes.
