Russian airline Aeroflot will launch direct flights from Moscow to Delhi from the 6th of May. This was reported on the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR). Flights will be operated four times a week on an Airbus A330-300. The travel time will be 6.5 hours.
According to the tourism industry, the new flights will be a great opportunity to travel abroad in the face of airline sanctions. It is noted that single tickets at the end of May will cost travellers 14,800 rubles. According to tour operators, the price reduction became possible due to the end of the tourist season in India.
In addition, the Russian government will approve a special type of visa, the AYUSH visa. It will be issued to those wishing to travel to India for a health holiday.
However, ATOR warned that such trips would not be budget-friendly, with a minimum cost of around 100,000 rubles. A tour with a full programme and accommodation in a five-star hotel will cost 234,000 roubles.
