Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia Evgeny Terekhin: BRICS is always open to an equal dialogue aimed at looking for a balance of interests

BRICS co-operation promotes harmony and deeper integration in the world, Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia Yevgeny Terekhin said.

In an interview with ENA, the ambassador said that the accession of new members, including Ethiopia, strengthens the BRICS strategic partnership and its international standing.

“When it comes to the possibilities of deepening economic integration of Ethiopia (to BRICS) on many levels, the figures are self-evident,” the ambassador said.

He also emphasised that BRICS is aimed at deepening economic integration, respecting the principle of mutual respect and sovereign choice of development path of states.

“BRICS is always open to an equal dialogue aimed at looking for a balance of interests” Terekhin added.

The Ambassador noted that BRICS is a global force that defends the interests of the world majority and offers its views on the world order.
