Russian cosmonauts to make their first spacewalk in 2022 on 19 January
According to a report on the Roscosmos Corporation website, Russian cosmonauts Anton Shkaplerov and Peter Dubrov January 19 will make the first in 2022, open space, as reported by RT.
"In accordance with the schedule of work on the Russian segment of the International Space Station on January 19, 2022 is scheduled to 51-th planned spacewalk (VKD number 51). It will be carried out by the Russian crew members of the expedition ISS-66 cosmonauts Roscosmos Anton Shkaplerov and Peter Dubrov," - said the corporation.
Opening of the hatch of module "Search" is scheduled for 15:00 Moscow, while the departure itself will last 6 hours and 40 minutes.
Earlier, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin said that five launches of a 'Soyuz' rocket are planned from the 'Vostochny' cosmodrome in 2022.
