Details Released for Russian Investment Forum Business Programme
Abstracts have been published for the business programme sessions of the Russian Investment Forum, which will be held in Sochi on 12–14 February 2020.
The programme’s discussions will have three focuses: ‘Investing in the Regions: Goals, Objectives, Tools’, “Digital Economic Transformation: Practical Results’, and ‘Human Capital: A Foundation for Future Leadership’.
“Each year, the Russian Investment Forum’s programme is based on a discussion of the development of economic sectors, technologies, and human capital. All these components must work smoothly and evenly without any lags in order to ensure sustainable progress in each region. But the Forum’s agenda will not only touch upon these aspects. Discussions will also be held on healthcare, social development, and youth entrepreneurship issues”, Adviser to the Russian President and Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary Russian Investment Forum Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.
The pillar devoted to regional development will feature business sessions on ways to improve the efficiency of regional industrial clusters, develop the Russian Far East, the North Caucasus, and urban economies, implement an affordable housing programme, invest in infrastructure, develop the tourism potential of Russia’s regions, and accelerate small business growth.
The discussions on digital economic transformation will deal with such issues as data processing and storage in Russia, the digital infrastructure of cities, the development of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and the role of new technologies in boosting labour productivity.
Participants in the sessions on the development of human capital will discuss demographic imbalances between large cities and the regions, the development of women’s and social entrepreneurship, and the convergence of education and technology.
