Russian President to take part in #WeAreTogether award ceremony
On Monday, 5 December, the #WeAreTogether international award will be presented as part of the eponymous international forum of civil participation. The ceremony will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, as reported on the official website of the President of Russia.
It is noted that the award will take place on the first day of the volunteer forum, which will be held until 7 December at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall.
The main topic of the forum is "Partnership for Common Goals". It is organised by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) together with the Association of Volunteer Centers of Russia. About 10 thousand volunteers from all regions of Russia and 45 countries of the world will take part in the forum events.
#WeAreTogether is awarded for civic contribution to the achievement of Russia's national development goals until 2030. The idea of its establishment was supported by the President of Russia at a meeting with volunteers of the All-Russian campaign “We Are Together” in 2020.
During the solemn ceremony, 12 awards will be presented, for which volunteers from around the world are nominated. Thanks to the information dissemination about the award through TV BRICS partners, it was possible to attract participants from the BRICS countries - Brazil, India, China and South Africa.
This year, Leonid Roshal, Chairman of the Organising Committee and President of the Research Institute of Emergency Pediatric Surgery and Traumatology, Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, Chi Fang, Deputy Executive Director of the CICA Secretariat, and Saddam Al-Jihad Respiratori, President of the Asian-African Youth Government, joined the international directorate of the award.
In 2020, TV BRICS became the information partner of the #WeAreTogether mutual aid campaign aimed at supporting the elderly, people with limited mobility and medical workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. In support of the Russian volunteer action, TV BRICS, for its part, launched an international broadcast and digital project, which was held under the tag #WeAreTogether.
In 2021, TV BRICS received a medal and a certificate for the BRICS AGAINST COVID-19 INFOHUB project, in which materials about the experience of the Russian volunteer movement in the fight against coronavirus were prepared in different languages and distributed through the network of TV BRICS media partners under the unifying tag #WeAreTogether.
