Saudi Arabia launches programme aimed at developing sustainable technologies
Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has announced the start of applications for a new programme aimed at developing sustainable technologies in Saudi Arabia. This is reported by Arab News.
The Sustainable Innovation Fellowship Programme will focus on reusing water treatment by-products for environmental protection, developing recycling technologies for membranes used in water treatment, and researching methods for reusing treated wastewater in desert and arid regions.
The programme will also assess the environmental impact of microplastics in wastewater treatment plants and sewage systems.
In line with Saudi Vision 2030, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is also introducing new e-services that meet international standards.
