Second BRICS Research Conference 2023 to be held from 13-15 February

The Research Conference to be hosted by India

The 2nd BRICS Research Conference 2023 will take place from 13-15 February, hosted by the University of Kota, India.

Department of Commerce & Management, University of Kota, Rajasthan, India, in collaboration with the Durban University of Technology, South Africa, supported by colleagues from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and Campinas University, Brazil, also Moscow State Institute of International Relations, and Saint Petersburg State University, Russia, and Jilin University as well as Fudan University, China are organising an international research conference for the benefit of academicians, researchers, students, professionals, industrialist and policymakers. 

The conference to be co-organised by South African BRICS Think Tank and National Institute for the Humanities and Social Science (NIHSS).

The theme of the research conference is “Growth and sustainability of livelihoods in the BRICS countries: knowledge sharing in social justice, governance and multilateralism."

It is possible to take part in the event, sending the abstract that should be not more than 250 words, before 20 November 2022. Full paper submission deadline is 15 January 2023.

The topics for the abstracts are:

  • Entrepreneurship and development research

  • New Development Bank: A Catalyst for the BRICS Economic Growth and Development

  • Climate emergency and challenges for BRICS countries

  • BRICS people-to-people exchange and cultural integration through tourism and air transport

BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) is an important grouping bringing together the major emerging economies from the world, comprising 41% of the world population, having 24% of the world GDP and over 16% share in the world trade. BRICS countries have been the main engines of global economic growth over the years.
