South Africa remains the preferred investment destination on the African continent

The African Continental Free Trade Area will open up opportunities for export markets

South Africa remains a preferred investment destination and an important gateway to markets in other countries across Africa, President Cyril Ramaphosa said. This is reported by Prensa Latina, a partner of the TV BRICS.

In addition, he said the African Continental Free Trade Area will open up opportunities to develop export markets, strengthen industrial bases and regional value chains.

The government is committed, the head of state noted, to ensuring that the movement of goods and people is unhindered as foreign companies expand their presence on the continent.

Ramaphosa also noted that the disruptions in global supply chains caused by the production stoppages due to the COVID-19 pandemic have highlighted the urgent need for businesses around the world to diversify their sources of supply.
