South Africa's High Commissioner to India says Indian business community shows great interest in doing business with South Africa

South Africa and India are key partners within BRICS and G20 member countries

Anil Sooklal, High Commissioner of the Republic of South Africa said that India is a country with which South Africa has strong historical ties.

"We have the common factor of the indentured Indian community which is an integral part of South Africa today," he stated.

Anil Sooklal said there is a huge interest from the Indian business community to do business with South Africa.

"There is a high level of interest and companies are already looking at investing in South Africa," he said.

The two countries will celebrate thirty years of diplomatic relations next month when a South African government delegation, led by the Minister of Tourism Patricia de Lille, members of portfolio committees on International Relations and Trade Industry and Competition (DTI) will visit India between December 2 and 7 to strategically grow and strengthen economic ties between both countries.

The India-South Africa Chamber of Commerce (Isacc) will also hold a business conclave which will include a series of business roundtables in New Delhi and Mumbai to coincide with the visit of the South African government delegation.

South Africa and India have enjoyed strong bilateral relations over the years and are also key partners within BRICS and G20 member countries. Both countries are also members of IBSA, a unique forum that brings together three major nations and and major economies from three different continents. This is reported by Pretoria News, a partner of TV BRICS.
