Students and pupils from Tajikistan attend events of the Russian Language Ambassadors in the World programme

The educational and awareness-raising expedition "Russian Language Ambassadors in the World" takes place from 2 to 9 December 2023. TV BRICS and Eurasia Today are the information partners of the expedition.

The participants of the programme are:

• 10 volunteers, including not only experienced Russian language ambassadors, but also beginners;

• Varvara Filippova – methodologist, acting head of the Department of Internship of Foreign Specialists at the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language;

• Yulia Karmanova – Organiser of the event, Director of the Department of Development and Project Management.

Expedition organiser Yulia Karmanova shared her expectations from the classes:

"Here is the start of the December Ambassadors' expeditions, for some volunteers this is the first trip after training and it is nice that Tajikistan welcomes the Ambassadors with warm weather and incredible hospitality. We hope that the participants of the programme will fall in love with the Russian language and culture and will remember with nostalgia the time spent with the Russian language ambassadors" – she stressed.

As part of the expedition, the volunteers conduct a course of classes for students of theajik International University of Foreign Languages named after Sotim Ulugzod and also visit schools in Tajikistan with lessons with the organisational support of the Rossotrudnichestvo office.

The international volunteer programme "Russian Language Ambassadors in the World" promotes the foreign policy course of the Russian Federation on the development of partnership relations with other countries, as well as the introduction of mechanisms for using volunteer forms and involving young people in volunteer activities.
