This decision will fundamentally change the sphere of protection of Objects of Cultural Heritage in Pskov. Pskov citizens have been waiting for this event for two decades. The nomination of the List is called "Churches of the Pskov School of Architecture" and includes 10 unique temples of the XII-XVII centuries. Among them, there are the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist of the Ivanovsky Monastery, Transfiguration Cathedral of the Spaso-Mirozhsky Monastery, Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin of the Snetogorsky Monastery, Archangel Michael Church with a bell tower.
Initially, another name was mentioned in the application – "The Monuments of Ancient Pskov", and it was a little wider in its content. This application included not only churches, but also palaces (Regiment, Pogankin), serf towers (Gremyachaya, Pokrovskaya). They were included in the List.
Just to let you know: the 15th century was the golden age of the Pskov Architectural School. Chronicles of that time report about construction of 22 stone churches in Pskov.

It is preparing nomination documentation for such Russian objects as "Sacred Kenozerie" in the Arkhangelsk Region, "Petroglyphs of Lake Onega and the White Sea" in Karelia, they are not less than 5-6 thousand years old, and the "Monuments of Sea Arctic Hunters of Chukotka".
