On Monday, November 22, the Fifth Russian-Chinese New Media Forum was held online. The main theme of the event: "Strengthening cooperation between Russia and China in the field of new media at the present stage."
Representatives of the leading Russian and Chinese media outlets, including TV BRICS, were invited to the Forum. Also, the event was attended by Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia Bella Cherkesova and deputy head of the Cyberspace Administration of the People's Republic of China Niu Yibing. The Ministry of Digital Industry of Russia is the co-organizer of the Forum.
TV BRICS annually takes part in the work of the Subcommission for Cooperation in Media of the Russian-Chinese Commission for Humanitarian Cooperation, which is also conducted by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation and the State Administration for Radio and Television Affairs of the PRC. This year, BRICS TV's proposals for the development of bilateral media partnerships with the Chinese media were included in the protocol.
According to the work plan of the Subcommission for Cooperation in Media of the Russian-Chinese Commission for Humanitarian Cooperation for 2021-2022, it is necessary to hold round tables of experts from leading BRICS countries’ media outlets on current topics.
Taking into account the extensive partner network of TV BRICS, the program of round tables for the media of the BRICS countries can be implemented using TV BRICS’ own platform – the BRICS multimedia center. Among the partners of TV BRICS at the moment there are more than 20 media outlets of the "five" countries, the interaction with which has been built on a wide range of cooperation, including the exchange of experience.
Also, TV BRICS will continue cooperation in the area of content exchange, operational coverage of events in Russia and China, and joint production of TV programs with interested Chinese media.
