The 5th session of the Zimbabwe-Russia Intergovernmental Commission is held in Russia
The 5th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economy, Science and Technical Cooperation concluded in Russia, where further ways of developing relations between Zimbabwe and the Russian Federation were outlined. This is reported by The Herald, a partner of TV BRICS.
The signed protocols provided an important basis for further interaction between the two sides. Zimbabwe's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Amon Murwira, said both sides have shown willingness to strengthen cooperation in various areas consistent with the high level of agreements reached in January 2019 during President Mnangagwa's official visit to Russia.
"Our commission discussed areas of cooperation and the things that we have already done. We have celebrated the launch of our satellite, ZimSat-2. We have also considered all areas that we need to deepen our cooperation in," he said
Russian Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology Aleksander Kozlov also emphasised that the two countries have a long history of good relations and prospects for the future.
