The 6th BRICS International School will be held in Moscow

The BRICS National Research Committee will hold the VI International Research and Education Programme "BRICS School" in Moscow on November 20-25, 2022. The event will take place in a face-to-face format. 

"BRICS School" is a unique programme for the training of specialists in the study of interaction within the BRICS association in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres and specific areas of cooperation between the five countries. 

The programme is held on an annual basis with the advisory support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in order to expand the pool of young BRICS experts to form a talent pool and further develop the youth track of BRICS cooperation.

In 2022, the programme is supported by the Presidential Grants Foundation and the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund. The programme is designed for undergraduate and graduate students, young scholars, diplomats, entrepreneurs and journalists from Russia, Brazil, China, India and South Africa aged between 18 and 35 years old.

Programme participants will have a unique opportunity to listen to a specially prepared course of lectures by leading Russian and foreign experts on BRICS topics, participate in debates, discussions and master classes, attend training sessions, expand their professional horizons, develop communication skills, study in detail the specifics of the BRICS countries' interaction, their position on the global stage, prospects for the institutionalization of the BRICS format, and the goals and objectives of the association in the future. 

The programme is divided into thematic modules, which are shaped by partner organizations, leading Russian research centres whose headquarters are located in Moscow.

Leading Russian and foreign experts, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, relevant ministries and agencies, and research institutes with significant experience in studying BRICS issues serve as mentors for the programme.

The programme is conducted in English. Upon completion, participants who have successfully completed the programme will receive personal certificates.

Participants from the BRICS School International Research and Education Program will also have the opportunity to participate in the Academic Essay Competition "BRICS and the Global Community: A Success Story of International Cooperation. Authors of the best essays according to the jury will be invited for publication in BRICS thematic publications.
