The Chairperson of the African Union Commission held talks with the President of Brazil

The parties focused on restoring relations between Brazil and the African continent

The Chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, believes that restoring relations between Africa and Brazil is a necessary objective for both climate justice and a fair international economic partnership. This is reported by Prensa Latina, a partner of TV BRICS.

Mahamat also said he looks forward to meeting Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at the 2024 African Union Summit.

The African Union summit is scheduled for 17-18 February next year with member countries and delegations represented by presidents, vice presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers and other dignitaries.
