The Indian Natural Farming System initiative begins in India

The purpose of the strategy is to encourage natural farming

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh in India, and Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, took part in the Indian Natural Farming System programme to encourage natural farming in Lucknow. This is reported by ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.

"Production can be increased without the use of chemical fertilisers. Natural farming is a resolve of PM Modi. An awareness campaign will be launched among the farmers to promote natural farming," said Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

According to a source, all six agricultural institutions in India have been instructed to upgrade their certification labs as part of the initiative.

In order to encourage natural farming, India also intends to start an awareness campaign among farmers.
