The President of Brazil approved the 2022 budget of the Union
President Jair Bolsonaro approved the Union's budget for 2022. The text provides 4.9 billion reals for the electoral fund, which is responsible for financing the political parties election campaigns. This information was posted in the official edition of the Brazilian federal government’s published budget.
The document, approved by the President, also refers to the provision of 1.7 billion reals for recalculation of the civil servants salaries. This has been reported by TV CULTURA, a partner of the TV BRICS network.
Bolsonaro also made some cuts to the draft budget passed by Congress. The total amount was 3.18 billion reals. The funds were supposed to go for amendments to the National Congress committees, known as commission amendments (R$ 1.36 billion), and other ministerial expenses (R$ 1.82 billion).
