The Russian Economic Forum discusses national development goals in Chelyabinsk

The forum was attended by around 5,000 participants and over 300 speakers

The II Russian Economic Forum (REF) has concluded in Chelyabinsk, bringing together representatives of major businesses, government agencies, and experts to find solutions that contribute to the sustainable development of the Russian economy. TV BRICS acted as the international information partner for the event.

On the first day, participants discussed strategies for achieving national development goals, issues of digitalisation and personnel provision in various industries, and industrial robotics. An atlas of Russian robotics was also presented, featuring developers, integrators, and consumers on a single platform.

A key event was the session "Finance, Taxation, and Investment," where Aleksander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, highlighted the role of large businesses as a driving force for economic growth.

Ksenia Komissarova, Editor-in-Chief of TV BRICS, moderated a panel discussion entitled “Russian Ark: How to Attract the Best from Other Countries”.

The second day of the Forum was marked by a plenary session titled "RUSSIA – 2030: People, Family, and Development" with the participation of Aleksander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation, and Aleksey Teksler, Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region and Chairman of the State Council Commission on Economy and Finance.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted key tasks set by President Vladimir Putin and outlined the country’s development priorities for the next six years.

“It is important for us to implement national projects and the goals set by the President. 19 national projects are in the pipeline, and the preparation of a single plan for achieving national goals, which includes 93 tasks, is nearing completion. Undoubtedly, we need to continue the previously launched projects to support and develop healthcare, education, the social sphere, human capital, and the development of technological sovereignty”

Aleksander Novak Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation

Teksler noted that the forum had practical value, as it culminated in a list of proposals that were passed on to relevant stakeholders for further development and implementation. He added that the event brought together approximately 5,000 participants and over 300 speakers, each contributing to achieving the goals set out for the forum.

The final day of the REF was dedicated to personnel issues. At the session “Personnel of the Southern Urals: The Battle for People”, regional companies and universities presented their programmes aimed at attracting young specialists. Lectures and workshops on topical issues such as the use of neural networks and artificial intelligence were also held.

The REF concluded with the creation of a comprehensive document based on the ideas and initiatives discussed during the event. This document included over 30 proposals for accelerating Russia's socio-economic development.
