The Saudi Arabian region hosts more than 500 caves that attract tourists
Nestled in the Northern Borders region of Saudi Arabia is the Black Scorpion Cave, which attracts adventurers and explorers. This is reported by Arab News.
The cave, located 160 kilometres west of Rafha, is more than 500 meters deep. It got its name due to its entrance, which resembles the body of a black scorpion.
Inside the cave there are three passages that narrow and widen, rise and fall. The cave also has several offshoots, which makes it even more mysterious.
Due to its geological features, the cave is an ideal place for ecological and geological tourism. It is home to various wild animals, including wolves, hyenas, and foxes, and cheetah remains have also been found.
In addition to the Black Scorpion, the region is home to over 500 caves and sinkholes. These natural wonders offer visitors the opportunity to explore geological formations that are thousands of years old.
