The winners of the "Rendezvous with Russia. Territory of People's Unity" festival awarded in Moscow
The echo of the first international film festival "Rendezvous with Russia. Territory of People's Unity" spread across Moscow. In the House of Cinema, the organizers presented awards to those winners who could not receive them earlier. Including the Grand Prix. The Jury awarded it to "Dostoevsky Intercontinental". The film was made by virtue of entire TV BRICS united editorial board under Ivan Zakharenko’s directorship.
"Like any award, the emotions always tend to be positive. A little bit of excitement, a little bit of euphoria. And a certain approval of the fact that the work was not done in vain. Of course, it is a bit of a pity that we can’t gather together and talk to the jury and guests. To get the prize in person. It turned out that everything is possible. And today, we received the prize in Moscow," Ivan Zakharenko, director of "Dostoevsky Intercontinental", shared his impressions.
The Grand Prix winner was chosen unanimously by the jury. The authors of the film emphasize the relevance of the legacy of the great writer, and also reveal different national approaches to the interpretation of his philosophy. Apart from Russia, the film also includes India, Brazil, South Africa, and China.
More than four dozen films took part in the competition. "Rendezvous with Russia. Territory of People's Unity" is a unique festival: according to the organizers, it is the largest festival dedicated to the cultural diversity of the peoples of Russia in the world. Here, even the main prize is not a usual figurine, but rather a piece of folk art.
"We decided to do something related to the venue as the brand of the festival. We chose mittens. This way we promote the traditions, culture and history of the peoples of Russia. We introduce everyone to Russia," Alexander Ilyin, general producer of the film festival "Rendezvous with Russia. Territory of People's Unity", stated.
Dozens of shows, master classes, round tables, author's meetings, and an extensive business program. The pandemic did not intervene, the showings were held in a double format: online and offline at once. According to the organizers, they will follow the same practice in the future. The next festival is less than a year away.
