This year Brazil to launch locally produced flying car

Specialists are already studying the nuances of such a car on the example of a 1:3 model

A Brazilian company will soon produce the first full-size prototype of an electric vehicle with vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL), known as a "flying car". This is reported by Toda Palavra, a partner of TV BRICS.

The eVTOL does not yet have an official name. Test flights of the new model will take place this year at a test site in the city of Gavian Peixotu.

The publication reports that in March, Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) held an industry consultation on the certification and regulation of the eVTOL. At the event, ideas related to the issue were presented.

The company creating the "flying car" has already assembled and flown a 1:3 scale model of the eVTOL, which looks like a giant drone, the publication notes.
