Tunisia connects 300,000 residents to sanitation services
The sixth phase of a programme to connect working-class neighbourhoods to sewerage in Tunisia will increase access to sanitation in the country, said Tunisian Environment Minister Leila Chikhaoui.
Currently, 90 per cent of Tunisia's population is connected to sewerage. The new connection programme will cover 140 new working neighbourhoods, benefiting approximately 300,000 residents. This is reported by Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP), a partner of TV BRICS.
This phase of the sewerage connection programme is part of the government's efforts to improve sanitation and the quality of life of citizens.
