TV BRICS and CMA Group intensify coverage of agricultural co-operation between BRICS countries
TV BRICS International Media Network and CMA Group, a major Brazilian agency, have signed a memorandum of co-operation. The parties will promote co-operation in the field of agriculture between the BRICS countries in the global media space.
The CMA Group agency specialises in real-time news coverage of financial market developments in Brazil, Latin America and abroad.
Coverage includes hundreds of daily news items in Portuguese and Spanish on national and international markets with a focus on macroeconomics, politics, publicly traded companies, sector outlook, expert forecasts, as well as exclusive interviews and analyses with specialists in their industry.
"TV BRICS focuses its agenda on business environment news, and especially on the agricultural sector. We have implemented a special partnership project - a series of programmes in Russian and Portuguese called "Agroparallels". The network actively co-operates with the UN FAO. We regularly cover news of the agricultural sector in South Africa, co-operating with relevant associations in the country and the Russia-South Africa Business Council. In this regard, we see the start of work with a major agency such as SMA, and in particular with Safras & Mercado, as strategically important for promoting co-operation in agriculture between the BRICS countries through the media"
Janna Tolstikova CEO of TV BRICS
"From our point of view, the integration of business agenda news into the common information space allows drawing the attention of market participants to new opportunities for international business co-operation. This is applied information. The TV BRICS, by aggregating news from media partners and having the opportunity to attract experts from different industries from BRICS+ countries, is ready to share this content, and we are pleased that the information we aggregate will now be available to the audience of such a powerful analytical platform as CMA," she emphasised.
Safras & Mercado covers everything related to global agribusiness, including daily market monitoring of soybeans, corn, cotton, coffee, sugar and ethanol, beef, chicken, pork, rice, beans, wheat, biodiesel and fertiliser, to help decision makers in various agricultural segments. The company has an extensive database on Brazilian agribusiness and is internationally recognised for its agricultural forecasts and scenarios. In addition, the company monitors in real time all relevant market movements through the Safras news agency, which has its own team of specialised journalists.
TV BRICS cooperates with trade and economic institutions, including the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, RASPP, the Indian Business Alliance (IBA), Apex Brazil, the Trade and Economic Representative Office of the Jiangsu Province of China in Russia, the Chinese Coal Importers Association, the Association of Fruit and Vegetable Exporters in South Africa, and the agricultural section of the Russia-South Africa Business Council.
