TV BRICS and South Africa International Travel Film Festival sum up results of film competition
On Friday, May 28, Cape Town will host the closing ceremony of the International Tourism Film Festival. This year, in addition to the international section, films by directors from the African continent are presented separately within the framework of the competition. The winners will be announced in two main categories: Tourism Promotion Section and Documentaries & TV Section. The general partner of the event is the international TV BRICS network.
This year, about 1000 films from 97 countries of the world were entered for the film competition in South Africa. The main categories were divided into separate nominations. In the category "Tourist promo video" works are presented in the nominations "Tourism Destinations", "Tourism Product" (Tourism Products), "Services and services" (Tourism Services). The Documentary and Television Program is divided into the following nominations: Arts, Culture & Creativity, History & Heritage, Adventure, Expeditions and Travels, Environment & Ecology, Sustainable Tourism Issues, Nature and Wildlife, UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
According to the results of the competition, the winners in each category will be announced, and two grand prizes will be awarded: in the international section and in the section of African films.
The program of events will open with a series of master classes from leading experts in the film industry and the tourism industry, dedicated to promoting the tourism brand through video, practical cooperation of travel companies and the media. For the finalists and guests of the festival, the organizers have developed a tourist program, within which boat trips are planned to the bays of the most beautiful bays of the Western Cape province, to the harbor of Stolovaya Bay along the famous Victoria and Alfred Embankment.
The jury of the International Travel Film Festival ITFFA include: Director of the International Committee of Travel Film Festivals CIFFT Alexander Kammel (Austria), documentary filmmaker, producer of Moja Media (partner of TV BRICS in South Africa) Johan Abrahams, presidents of European travel film festivals, director of the Travel Film Festival in Zagreb Spomenka Saraga (Croatia), professor, founder of the international course on documentary filmmaking CampusDoc John Drydonks (Netherlands), top managers of travel companies, as well as the deputy general director for international cooperation of the TV BRICS network Zhanna Tolstikova.
The names of the winners will be published on the website of TV BRICS, a partner of the ITFFA International Travel Film Festival.
The International Tourism Film Festival-Africa is held on the basis of the non-profit organization Sustainable Tourism Partnership Program, a member of the UN World Tourism Organization. International Tourism Film Festival-Africa is a member of the International Committee of Travel Film Festivals CIFFT based in Vienna (Austria). The first Travel Film Festival took place in November 2019 in Cape Town.
The permanent partner of the event is the international TV BRICS network.
