TV BRICS and Zimbabwe's largest Broadcasting Corporation ZBC signed memorandum of cooperation

TV BRICS and Zimbabwe's largest Broadcasting Corporation ZBC have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC). This is the first media partner of the TV BRICS Media Network outside of the five countries. Thanks to the cooperation projects of the network will develop within the BRICS+ format.

The parties agreed to take joint actions on media cooperation about the current events of the internal and international life of their countries. TV BRICS and ZBC plan to exchange news and video content and analytical materials.

TV BRICS Media Network organised screenings of films about the nature of southern Africa on Brazilian TV channels and Indian film festivals.

“We are ready to develop this work with the media of Zimbabwe. We are confident that thanks to our partnership with such a media leader as ZBC, we will be able to effectively promote the culture, tourism, agricultural and industrial potential of Zimbabwe, social and humanitarian projects of the country in BRICS, as well as show the national Zimbabwean viewer a variety of opportunities that countries of the alliance are ready to share,” Janna Tolstikova added.

Adelaide Chikunguru expects the partnership will raise the profile of the ZBC Broadcasting Corporation in the international arena.

The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) is the national broadcaster responsible for bringing news, entertainment, education and information to the global community.

ZBC operates six radio stations, and three television channels, providing a mix of news, educational programming and music in English, Shona and Ndebele and 14 of the national languages recognised under the Constitution of Zimbabwe.
