TV BRICS Support Best African Travel Films at World Travel Market Africa
The World Travel Market, a global travel industry event, is held April 6 to 8, 2020 in Cape Town, the Republic of South Africa. This year, the best films of International Tourism Film Festival-Africa are presented there. TV BRICS, the international media network, is honored to be the title media sponsor of the film fest.
All film directors shooting travel videos about Africa are welcome to submit for participation in International Tourism Film Festival-Africa. The promotional tourist and regional promotional videos are accepted for participation in the programme. The contest is arranged in five categories: tourist potential of a city, a region, or a whole country within the Continent of Africa; various types of travel, such as agritourism, gastronomy tourism, wellness tourism. The best videos are scheduled on April 07, after the conference on the impact of the film industry on the global tourism promotion, which is held as part of the World Travel Market Africa.
The International Tourism Film Festival-Africa is held by Sustainable Tourism Partnership Program, a non-profit organization and a part of the UN World Tourism Organization. The Sustainable Tourism Partnership Program is a partner of the 10-Year Program for Responsible Consumption, adopted at the 2012 UN World Summit on Sustainable Development.
The International Tourism Film Festival-Africa is a member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), created in Vienna (Austria). In addition to the South African Film Festival, this Committee includes a couple of dozens other film competitions under CIFFT the auspices in 16 countries around the world. The first Tourist Film Festival was held in Cape Town, November 2019.
World Travel Market Africa is one of the six key events within the World Travel Market portfolio. And took place in Africa for the first time in 2014. Every year, the platform brings together over 6,000 participants – the travel industry professionals from various countries. The event focuses on the B2B format, which enables people from various business sectors to obtain international partners.
In 2020, a partner of the international media network TV BRICS in RSA – Sustainable Tourism Partnership Programme – participates in the event.
