TV BRICS to prepare for the BRICS+ countries premiere of TV series about travelling through Mozambique
For the first time in Russia a series of TV programmes "Charm of Mozambique" about the history, sights and cultural peculiarities of this republic will be aired. The project was created by the Mozambican public television TVM and prepared for broadcasting in Russia by the TV BRICS International Media Network. Adaptation of the programme from Portuguese into Russian was first carried out using artificial intelligence.
The premiere of the project "Charm of Mozambique" will take place on 26 November 2024 on TV BRICS. The programme will then also air on Tuesdays at 08:30, 12:30, 17:00 and 22:30. Repeats on Thursday and Sunday.
"We are pleased to present to the Russian viewers an interesting TV project about the Republic of Mozambique. The programme is created by professional journalists of this country from TVM channel, which is a partner of TV BRICS. The project will be available in its original language on the Portuguese version of tvbrics.com. The version adapted into Russian will be broadcast on TV BRICS in Russia and will also be available on our website. The successful information exchange with Mozambique is a result of the media network's targeted work in Africa. Our partners on the continent are also leading media outlets in Egypt, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tunisia and South Africa. Foreign colleagues are eager to show TV BRICS programmes, including those about Russia, and offer us their unique media products"

There are ten episodes in the cycle "Charm of Mozambique". Correspondent Julio Sumail invites viewers to the capital and largest city of the republic, Maputo, and travels to different districts of the country: Govuro, Vilanculos, Marracuene and Monapo.
"TV BRICS operates in six languages and works with media in dozens of countries, so our production process has to be as efficient as possible. We endeavour to use the latest technology, including artificial intelligence. We are already using neural network in news broadcasting and in the creation of special projects. "Charm of Mozambique" is the first foreign cyclical thematic programme in which artificial intelligence helped us. Using this example, we managed to create algorithms that should make the process of language adaptation on television more efficient and cost-effective in the future. With the help of these tools, we plan to adapt the programme into languages other than Russian, so that the audience of TV BRICS media partners around the world can learn more about Mozambique," said TV BRICS' Chief Director Andrey Porshnyak.
TV BRICS is a 24-hour general thematic television channel for the BRICS+ audiences. It is broadcast in Russian throughout the Russian Federation: through digital TV operators, online services for watching TV channels, on-air TV channels, on video hosting sites and social networks. Foreign language broadcasts are available on the respective versions of the TV BRICS information portal. The total reach of TV BRICS is 12 million subscribers.
TV BRICS produces its own news and feature programmes, documentaries on national traditions, culture, socio-economic development of different countries and international cooperation. The TV airtime also includes foreign projects (author's programmes, talk shows, TV series, feature, documentary and animated films), provided by TV BRICS media partners and available to the international audience for the first time. TV BRICS programmes are regularly broadcast in the media of the BRICS+ countries through the information exchange system.
