ITFFA award ceremony held with TV BRICS support
International Tourism Film Festival-Africa (ITFFA) announced the winners. TV BRICS became the General media partner of the event this year. The award ceremony will take place on November 27th.
The competition was held in five categories: films that present the tourism potential of a city, region or an entire country of the African continent; films that tell about various types of tourism, including agrotourism, gastronomic, eco-tourism, health and adventure tourism.
The film screenings of the finalists of the festival were broadcasted in the online "Lockdown Edition" on the official ITFFA resources. The shortlist includes more than 40 best films about traveling on the African continent. Only 15 entries in various categories were awarded in the final. The jury included Alexander Kammel, Director Of the international Committee of tourist film festivals CIFFT (Vienna, Austria), presidents of European travel film festivals, top managers of travel companies, and Janna Tolstikova, head of the international Department of TV BRICS.
The main prize of the festival was given to the film "MzanSea - a celebration of South Africa's 20 new Marine Protected Areas". The work was preferred by all the members of the jury, and it was liked by the majority of the audience.
A special prize was awarded to the partner of TV BRICS - the DurbanTV - for introducing the cultural and historical heritage of South Africa to the audience. The full series about tourism in Durban in Russian will be shown on Russian television for the first time on TV BRICS-channel.
TV BRICS will also show the best films of the International Tourism Film Festival Africa-2020.
International Tourism Film Festival-Africa is held on the basis of the non-profit organization Sustainable Tourism Partnership program, a member of the UN world tourism organization. International Tourism Film Festival-Africa is a member Of the international Committee of tourist film festivals CIFFT, located in Vienna (Austria). The first tourist film festival was held in November 2019 in Cape town.
