UAE and Zimbabwe sign green energy agreement

This took place at the World Future Energy Summit

The UAE and Zimbabwe have signed power purchase agreements. This marks a major step in establishing the largest solar project in Zimbabwe to date.

The agreements signify the green light to launch the Green Giant Initiative, a massive solar project designed to generate 500MW of solar power, meeting the electricity needs of about 2 million households.

This achievement highlights the countries favourable business environment and is testament to the exceptional teamwork and dedicated efforts of both parties involved. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

Forecasts predict that this endeavour will significantly boost Zimbabwe's economy, creating many jobs and contributing to infrastructure development.

In line with global efforts to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals, this initiative aims to improve the living standards of millions of Zimbabweans.
