UAE ranks first in number of accredited healthcare facilities in 2025
The UAE has demonstrated significant progress in key healthcare quality indicators such as basic outcomes, infrastructure, and prevention. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.
In FY 2025, the country has allocated AED 5.745 billion (8 per cent of the federal budget) for healthcare and disease prevention. The UAE ranks among the top 10 countries in the world in 21 health indicators and is ranked 20th in the world for the quality of healthcare.
A comprehensive national health strategy, investment in infrastructure, digital transformation and a focus on medical tourism underpin the UAE's achievements.
Investment in healthcare in the UAE is expected to continue to grow. The UAE plans to invest AED 118 billion in the healthcare sector by 2027, with a focus on infrastructure development and public-private partnerships. By 2029, spending will reach AED 151 billion, with an average annual growth rate of 6.7 per cent.
