Venezuelan president: relations with China are at the highest level
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro Moros noted the high level of relations with China during the ceremony of awarding the Order of Francisco de Miranda to the Asian country's ambassador Li Baorong, who has completed his diplomatic service in the country.
"To date, relations between China and Venezuela have reached their best level of mutual trust and cooperation," said the president at the Miraflores Palace.
He also noted that the bonds of brotherhood and partnership between the two countries, based on mutual respect and complementarity, continue to strengthen, especially given the current global context, in which China is playing a leading role.
The Venezuelan leader also highlighted the importance of China as a builder of modern socialism that is adapted to the features of the present time and he congratulated his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on his reelection as President of China.
During the ceremony, Maduro thanked the Chinese diplomat Li Baorong for his work in developing relations between the two countries during his five years as ambassador.
For his part Baorong said that despite of many difficulties the two countries have been working together steadfastly to develop their relations, and thanks to all these efforts we can say that China-Venezuela relations are at the highest level, as reported by teleSUR, a partner of TV BRICS.
