Vladivostok Has Become the Capital of the FEFD
The Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the decree on transfer of the capital of the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) from Khabarovsk to Vladivostok, the Kremlin press service reports.
The presidential decree orders: "<i>To amend the list No. 849 of federal districts approved by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation as of May 13, 2000 "About the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the … federal district", having stated the sixteenth paragraph in the following edition: "The center of the Federal District is Vladivostok.</i>"
The head of Administration of the President of the Russian Federation was encharged with the task oftaking necessary staffing measures in connection with the shift of the center of the Far Eastern Federal District to Vladivostok.
