Will Brazilian "Milk Rivers" Flow into Russia
In September 2019, the BRICS Ministers of Agriculture will meet. At this meeting, Brazil is going to bring up a question of supply of its dairy products into Russia. Brazilian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Orlando Ribeiro told the Ponta Porã portal about it, reports the correspondent tvbrics.com with the reference to tass.ru.
"All issues under discussion are of a great importance: possibility to supply Russian market with our dairy products and Indian market with fruit. As for China, we have even more questions here, concerning everything, from fruit to animal protein. With South Africa, we will discuss meat and poultry", Orlando Ribeiro said.
It is worth noticing that Brazil began to export dairy products to Russia in 2014.
The issue of dairy products is the matter of current interest, as the goods turnover in Russia and Brazil was reduced approximately by 4 percent last year, but still made about 5 billion dollars.
In this situation, it is interesting that the share of Russian export grew by 27.2 percent.
