World leaders congratulate Xi Jinping on PRC’s 76th anniversary

The President of the PRC, Xi Jinping, received congratulatory telegrams from the leaders and heads of government of the BRICS countries and partner states on the occasion of the PRC’s 76th anniversary. The holiday is celebrated annually on 1 October.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin, in his address, emphasised the unique nature of relations with China.

"Russian-Chinese relations are at an unprecedentedly high level – this was fully confirmed by our recent detailed and constructive discussions in Tianjin (at the SCO summit – Ed.) and in Beijing. I am confident that the systematic implementation of the agreements reached will contribute to the further strengthening of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction, creating conditions for the implementation of new large-scale joint projects in various spheres"

At the official reception in Moscow, Chinese Ambassador to Russia, Zhang Hanhui, said in an exclusive comment to TV BRICS that "close contacts between the peoples form a solid foundation for the dynamic and sustainable development of our relations and mutually beneficial cooperation."

One of the directions of humanitarian interaction will be the holding of Russia-China Cross Years of Education in 2026–2027.

The unified position on strengthening international cooperation was supported by other world leaders. President of Belarus Aleksander Lukashenko called China’s achievements respectable, reports BelTA, a partner of TV BRICS.

President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, assured that "the comprehensive strategic partnership with the PRC is an important priority for Iran," reports IRNA, a partner of TV BRICS.

The congratulations were also extended by the leader of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, respectively.

Xi Jinping’s reply was delivered at the official reception in Beijing, reports Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.

The official reception on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the PRC was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The event, chaired by the Premier of China Li Qiang, was attended by about 800 Chinese and foreign guests.
