Zimbabwe's biggest broadcaster shows a series of TV BRICS programmes about the world's dances
The largest Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) will premiere 'The language of dance' series on Friday, 28 April. The programme will air weekly on ZBC TV Fridays at 11:00 local time.
Is it true that dance is a language that can be understood without translation? The programme's presenter, Alexander Kononov, clarifies the question. In each episode, he explores a new dance by visiting choreographers from different countries.
"We are pleased to intensify our cooperation with TV BRICS. We hope that the screening of 'The language of dance' will lay a foundation for a regular exchange of content between our organisations. After all, through this exchange we can attract a diverse audience"Adelaide Chikunguru Chief Executive Officer of the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation
ZBC is Zimbabwe's national broadcasting corporation, which aims to spread news from various fields - education, entertainment, music. ZBC has six radio stations and three television channels that broadcast news on current affairs in English, Shona, Ndebele and the 14 national languages recognised by the Zimbabwean constitution.
'The language of dance' series was premiered in April on Brazil's leading TV channel ARTE-1, a partner of the TV BRICS.
