Ballet The Girl and the Dragon - an ancient Chinese legend in the language of dance
The ballet The Girl and the Dragon, based on an ancient Chinese legend, was staged at the Moscow Gubernsky Theatre by People's Artist of the USSR Vyacheslav Gordeev. In the language of dance he told a story of truly sacrificial love with a happy ending in its own way.
The production harmoniously interweaves the Russian school of choreography with the plastique of the Chinese dance. Dozens of colourful costumes were made by Chinese craftsmen especially for this ballet.
