Grain of the 16th century was discovered in the Moscow Region during excavations

Several tonnes of wheat, oats, rye, and barley from the 16^th and 17^th centuries have been found by archaeologists on the territory of the Holy Trinity Lavra of Sergius. Although the find is badly damaged, scientists are conducting research and hope to germinate the grain.
