“Inimitable melodies”: musicians from Iran spoke about peculiarities of their national music
Describing the country through sound is the main goal of the artists who performed on the stage of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. The Iranian musicians wrote the programme of the concert “Standing in the Wind,” consisting of 11 compositions with traditional tasnifs, saso-avazs, and rengs, which they produced by themselves. In each piece, they tried to show the country's millennia-old culture from a variety of different angles.
