My India. Dussehra Festival in Kullu district

Himachal Pradesh is a country of cultural diaspora! Words cannot define the mixture of different cultures that can be seen here. Its festivals, which vary in scale and size, are well known for attracting tourists from all over the world. Recently, the state's Kullu district hosted the week-long Dussehra festivals, a perfect blend of rich culture, history, and rituals.

Known for its beautiful gorges, babbling mountain streams and ancient temples, Kullu is sure to attract visitors during the Dussehra Festival, which is also considered the International Kullu Dussehra Utsav.

The festival, which is held at Dhalpur Maidan in Kullu, was declared a general holiday in 1972 and begins with Vijay Dashmi and lasts for seven days in October.
