My India. Jammu Folk Festival

Every region in India has its own style and pattern of art, known as folk art, which is very ethnic and simple, yet colourful and vibrant enough to speak volumes about country’s rich heritage. But with modernization, these folk art forms are dying a slow death. So, giving these art forms a new lease of life and preserve it for the younger generations, a National folk dance festival was recently organised in Jammu.

The tribal artists from different parts of the country brought alive the unmitigated splendour during the five day ‘Jammu Folk Festival’ with their wonderful performances.
