My India. Kali Marbat festival
There were thousands of people on the roads of Nagpur city, celebrating the 141-year-old Kali Marbat festival, when worshippers conduct a procession of effigies representing evil forces and eventually burn them.
The main intention behind celebrating this festival is to safeguard the city from the attack of vicious evil spirits. It takes place a day after the bullock festival of 'Pola' that started in 1880 in the eastern part of the city.
