My India. Unusual lake Loktak in Manipur
Leaving behind the noise of the city, tourists are flocking Manipur’s Loktak Lake to surround themselves with the serenity of nature. Located near Moirang in the Bishnupur district of Manipur, Loktak is regarded as the largest freshwater lake in the Northeastern region of India. The iconic lake is famous for its circular floating swamps, also called Phumdis in the local language for catching fish. More details in a story by ANI, a partner of the TV BRICS network.
