New Year's eve in Moscow
Mass festivities on New Year's Eve were a common sight not only in Moscow, but also in Russian regions.
Anyone could join the street parade of New Year wizards in Moscow and become Santa Claus. The event brought together thousands of people wearing red caftans.
The ice town "Belovodye" in Omsk became a real winter record-breaker. Officially: 171 ice sculptures, the highest Terem, the largest labyrinth, and the largest animalistic image in Russia (the outline of the town repeated the contour of a horse).
And the skating rink on the Red Square has been working for 16 consecutive years. Here you can both show yourself and look at others. More New Year's details in our video.
