Pavel Yakovlev: The main thing is the promotion of RF companies on the markets of RSA

Pavel spoke to TV BRICS about the prospects for joint cooperation between Russia and South Africa, assessed the current situation of relations between the two countries, shared the potential for joint work in agricultural, industrial and cultural areas.

Also, the director of a large automobile plant told how interesting our cars are to South Africa and whether there are points of contact between Russia and the RSA in the automobile sphere.

Pavel Alexandrovich Yakovlev Chairman of the Russia-South Africa Business Council, General Director of URAL Automobile Plant - was born in 1968.

- Graduated from the Industrial Enterprise Management Faculty of the Ural State University of Economics;

- started his career in 1987 as a process equipment fitter with NPO Avtomatika (Ekaterinburg);

- In 1997 he was appointed Deputy General Director of OJSC "Ural Automobile Plant", a year later he was promoted to Commercial Director;

- from 2000 to 2001 worked as General Director at Urals Tire Plant;

- From 2001, he was Deputy General Director at OAO Ruspromavto and Chairman of the Board of Directors at OAO URAL Automobile Plant;

- August 2003 - appointed Director of Procurement and Logistics at EuroChem Mineral and Chemical Company CJSC;

- March 2019 - Head of Trucks business, CEO of URAL Automobile Plant;

- In May 2021 he was appointed Chairman of the Russia-South Africa Business Council.
