The nuclear-powered icebreaker "Lenin" is a calling card of Murmansk
The icebreaker "Lenin" stands at the quay of the Murmansk Marine Station. The giant, which for 30 years led ships through the ice, was decommissioned from the fleet in 1989. Following lengthy technical procedures and restoration, the museum was opened on the icebreaker "Lenin" on December 3rd, 2009. The story of the appearance of the world's first nuclear-powered surface vessel can be found in the video by TV BRICS network partner NZHK.
