The Khoekhoe saga

More than 100 thousand years ago, hunter-gatherers lived throughout South Africa. They were the first modern humans.

About 2 thousand years ago, the tribes that inhabited the territory of modern northern Botswana began to lead a pastoralist lifestyle. They called themselves khoekhoe, or real people. Their search for pastures lead them south to the coastal plains of the Cape.

The film is a participant of the TV BRICS special program at the 31th Open Festival of the documentaries "Russia".

Written and directed by Joann Abrahams.
