A Russian Hobbit

Yaroslavskoye Highway, a small point at the intersection of two regions: Moscow and Vladimir. A round window, or a door faces the highway. Smoke comes from the chimney on the roof. And big posters attract curious drivers’ attention. Our film crew, together with students from China, has also been attracted by them.

A few moments later, a man with a red beard and dreadlocks shows at the doorstep of his house in a hill. His name is Yury Alekseev. He calls himself the Russian Hobbit. And visitors compare him to Lewis Carrol’s Mad Hatter. You can find here a rabbit hole, and the fluffy inhabitant named Petrushka, only Yury’shat does notcorrespond with the plot.
