Digital Orchestra by Golikov

Digital Orchestra by Golikov is an international project initiated by the Russian conductor Mikhail Golikov. The goal is to create a multimedia platform for bringing together the world's best musicians, where they can learn from each other and make their greatest musical dreams come true. The Digital Orchestra was launched in the year of the 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven. The project starts with the recording of the five odd-numbered symphonies by the great German composer.

Mikhail Golikov, Artistic Director for the Digital Orchestra: «The main purpose of the Digital Orchestra is not to unite musicians by themselves, but to unite them with the audience. With the audience, for the sake of which each musician works – either me, or the First Violinist sitting next to me, or the last violas row, training for this profession since childhood, we live for the sake of the audience».
